Biography

Since April 2018, I have been working as a Science Designer at the Institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules (WPI-ITbM), Nagoya University. My role focuses on improving scientific communication by creating engaging visual representations of complex concepts, collaborating with experts from different fields. I also mentor early-career researchers, fostering their design skills through lectures and workshops.

I received my Ph.D. in design engineering from Nagoya City University and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2015 through a co-directed dissertation program. Previously, I was a researcher at the University of Tsukuba, where I developed FUTUREGYM, an interactive gym for children with special needs in a school setting. I also teach visual communication design at Nagoya University of the Arts, guiding students in both basic and advanced interactive media.
